Banners anyone?

Banner advertising is a little underrated sometimes. Yet have a look at any website with a large following and I am sure you will see at least one strategically placed.

Here is the clever part....Banners sometimes DON'T have to be looked at or clicked to help you generate advertising for YOUR website! Let's hope they will be though :) Just include a small piece of code on your website and join a banner coop. There you go, free advertising for you at other websites all over the internet. If you scroll right to the bottom of this blog page you will see two banners. This is an example of sites with banner coops that I have just discovered.

1) Join a program with a banner exchange like TrafficG and Bucket of Banners.
2) Copy and paste some code on your website or blog.
3) For each view of someone elses banner on your site you get views to your banner

Happy banner-coop-ing!

PS. Thanks Angel Valenciano for the banner exchange idea!

From surfer to owner: What you need to know before you leap

What a big jump it has been! One that I feel I have transitioned into nicely if I can say so myself.

Surfing is a solo effort. You are not known to anyone. You don't even need a picture of yourself to start. Most people will stay at this stage.

NETWORK!

However, to progress to being owner of a program I suggest going to the next phase, networking. Join programs like Click Track Profit, CashSurfingNetwork, or many other community online groups. Get to know people. This will NOT happen overnight. Allow at least a year to settle in to the community and learn as much as you can. It took me a year just to show a picture of myself online. I was worried about identity and very shy. But with a real picture of yourself people can identify you and get to know you and what you are about. Identity is important. It's your brand and image. All you are and do is linked to this one image. It's your icon.

INTERACT!

Networking then can start through interacting with others. Chat. Join teams. Be social! Joining a team was one of the biggest steps for me online besides getting my profile picture out there. You get to know fellow team-mates, set common goals, exchange ideas etc. Perhaps become a team leader like I have. Opening a Facebook, Skype, and Twitter account also helps communication.

BLOG AND BUILD A LIST!

Start blogging and create a following by building your list. In that way people can follow your progress. People also can get to know you through your blog.

Be creative and think outside the box. Being creative and loving new ideas and concepts are great assets to include in your repertoire. The ability to learn new skill sets is another one.

IT DOES COST MONEY!

Create a business name (your domain name) will cost you money. Try to get a dot com ending if you can. I use GoDaddy (Use code: WOWFR4U for 35% off) to buy domains. Find a hosting site also. Be prepared for the things that WILL cost money. Spending money is the first step to making some! Some other associated costs with a traffic exchange are: buying a script licence, Paypal fees, a graphics package so you have a nice design on your site, any extra features to your site you may want to buy, and then there is advertising....

DAILY GRIND!

After setting it all up there are changes to do, support tickets to answer, promos to run, sales packages to make. The fun never stops! However, I chose to not do all this alone though. This halves the prices of things but the profits are also shared. If you go down this road, to make sure things are shared, you can keep track of spending in a spreadsheet that both can share online. Google Drive has many online documents you can create and edit and share together for this purpose.

ADVERTISE AND ADVERTISE SOME MORE!

Best things to do next is GET OUT THERE. Advertise! Track your advertising. Make your own advertising pages through a site like Adkreator. Email your list often. I decided to use a separate autoresponder to have a "special list" who opt-in for special bonus offers and promos. I use this separate autoreponder because it is just easier to use and and I can have the email sent at a specific day/time. And yes advertising can sometimes cost money too.

THANK YOU FROM REWARDS4SURFING!

By the way the site I am discussing is Rewards4Surfing. A big thank you to all that have helped me in this journey that I continue to take.

Blogging is Good For You

Have you heard that blogging is good for you? Also, reading blogs can be just as good as writing blogs.

Regarding writing a blog: Scientific American suggests that writing a blog is like a diary, sharing thoughts, feelings and experiences, and actually improves memory and sleep. There are also many celebrities that blog. Check them out here.

Blogs are also a great marketing tool. Its your ideas, your products and your services. Its free advertising/publicity with a personal touch. You can promote yourself and make connections with other like minded people. Feed back is generally encouraged on blogs where other people can comment.

When we write a blog we hope to connect with receptive readers and like minded people in similar situations. We are social creatures and want to feel engaged with trends in our field. Some other examples of different blog groups include new mums, saving money and craft blogs. The subject matter is endless. Sometimes all bloggers want is support and to share ideas, or to put a concept or idea "out there" to see if there is a reaction. Sort of like a forum entry but with more content. Blogs read almost like essays except they don't have to be so technical. I love the creative aspect of blogging. It's a freedom of expression that gets me thinking.

Regarding reading a blog: It helps us realize we are not alone. Its almost like sneaking into someones life through curiosity when they aren't looking to check in and see what they are up to. Blogs are informative in their own right . We can share similar experiences, get advice, learn along the way, become aware of new programs we weren't aware of, or learn about totally new subject.

I wish I had discovered reading and learning about blogs when I first began online in he early 2000s. Its a quick and engaging way to learn something and questions can be asked in the comments section. I cannot emphasise enough about the connections that I have made through blogging.

If you are in the net marketing/ earning online field etc, please feel free to read some of the blogs mentioned to the right of this post. They are located just under the page views. If anyone who wants to put the FreeRewards4u blog on their blog roll I would be honored and will also do the same for your blog. Just contact me.

Don't forget that I have put together a Face Blog Group. "Calling all Net Marketing Bloggers!! This is a Group you can place your links to your new blog posts for others to read. All in one place! I guess I call it FreeBlogAdverts4U!!!" If any of you are blog writers or blog readers you are welcome to join.

Until next time....

What! You're not Advertising in PTCs?

I'm so excited! I haven't advertised at a Paid to Click for a while and LegacyClix has/had a great deal of a Fixed Ad for 3 days ($27). What a bargain! I already have 7 signups to Click Track Profit in just 24 hours. Also, I have another 7 signups from those referrals joining programs within CTP! I have nearly reached 10 thousand hits to the Fixed Ad also after 1 day. Please refer also to a previous post I have for more information on PTCs.* Its Raining Referrals* and my website *FreeRewards4u/PTC*

Come on everyone, there is no excuse,  PTC advertising does work! I mean CTP does speak for itself but it does depend on your advertised program. I usually also buy a Nerdgrid add at Nerdbux which spreads your advertising over a month at a great price of $5! I usually don't cash out at Nerdbux I spend it instead on advertising. $5 is very achievable goal to save for.

There are many great PTCs out there with various specials on at any one time. One that springs to mind is Team Bradley Bux. They seem to always have a deal on so check them out. This is not meant to be a "links only" post but I want to share my enthusiasm for PTC as an advertising medium. Please comment and share any successes you may have experienced with PTC!

Advertising your Blog

I hit a bit of a road block last week with the retirement of Net Marketing Forum. There was a great section where people could post their link to a new blog post they had written. Over time, I realised this became my favorite site for finding new blog posts to read.

I'm sorry I just have to continue this great service. After searching for groups on Facebook for blogs I couldn't find many. So I made up my own. To all of you who blog I would be honored if you could join my FaceBook group and post your link. The criteria: its for all those who love net marketing. You can follow me FreeRewards4u HERE on FaceBook and my new blog on FaceBook loosely called "FreeBlogAdverts4u" HERE!

It is hard to know where to put your Blog links. You need to get a list for people to know you have a new post. Its Catch 22 almost. You can easily put your blog link in TEs or PTC but its not the same. You get your face out there of course but blogs are generally slow loading. EasyHits4U has a longer timer which may help. People who surf really don't have time to stay and read. They just want the next credit or penny. But where do we get that list from to begin with?? It's easy to put up a link but a lot harder to get subscribers who will get notified of future posts.

For me I have a website called FreeRewards4U. I started with building a list there. I have a link to this blog there also. In every newsletter I send out I have the link.

I promote in a great TE called Traffic Swirl. There is a section you can Sign Up for Tasks to complete to get Tokens.

There have also been great incentive programs such as Bills Birthday Badge Hunt inside Click Track Profit which occurs every so often to help. Fun! I have done some blog posts about the badge hunts.

Post in Forums with your blog being a "signature" where allowed. Some Skype rooms may also allow links to be broadcast. Perhaps make a splash/ squeeze page to promote a blog? Adkreator is a gem! That's the next step for me so I can advertise on a TE. So watch out for me everywhere soon! I just have a YouTube video to do.

The point: when it comes to advertising your Blog Posts we have to be a bit more inventive when it comes to advertising. Perhaps work a little harder to get our list to grow.  Slow and steady. Blogs are harder to promote initially but when a large list is created it becomes easier because you already have eager people to blog to. An autoresponder like Rocket Responder  makes list building easier to manage. Please comment on ways you promote your blogs!

Happy blogging and reading everyone
Kris Rogers

PS. A Reminder that any program you join from the links on this blog will give you FREE unlimited advertising. Subscribers only. Remember I will be promoting this Blog BIG really soon! Don't miss out!
